This is not called for your motor. We can only cross reference by OEM number for Yamaha. Most are universal it will just depend on some specs that should be recommended by a technician (micron rating and such).

Based on the part number provided the 18-7845 will work and it is a 10 micro filter. Also a 18-7844 will work based on that part number and that is a 21 micron filter.

I have an older boat, it has a water fuel separator filter (probably original). On the front of the filter, clearly states Sierra 18-7848, on the back, states "replaces OMC (174144). Is this the right filter? On the front, there is only 18-7848, there is no -1 at the end. Thanks?

The "-1" indicates packaging only. It is the same part.
