Waterproof Over 80 LED Trailer Light Kit - Optronics

Old light kit on trailer was not wired correctly, had issues. Rewired the trailer with the kit. As expected, the old wiring had multiple problems. This kit makes it easy and requires minimal connections. Tip - don't pull the old wires out first. Use the old wiring to pull the new wires through the frame. Saves a ton of time on the install. Find where the old wiring comes out of the back (boat side) of the tongue. Leave some slack there and cut the old wires. Tape the new wires to the old wires and pull the old wires out from the end at the lights. This will pull the new wires through the frame of the trailer for you. Then tape the plug end to the slack wires you left hanging out of the tongue earlier and pull the plug forward through the tongue. Took me 15 mins to wire the whole trailer.

Don't look like they would survive repeated dunking in salt water. Avoid these.

I give every new light we install on our salt water boat trailer a multi day soak test before i bother bolting them on to the trailer, we have gone through so many different brands of "sealed" led lights on our boat trailer, most of them fail miserably. This will be the third set of lights we have bolted on to our trailer. It passed my 2 day soak test in about 2 feet of tap water, so I expect many years of salt water service for this light assembly. The Seasense lights I bought failed this test.
