We purchased this winch at the end of the season 2009 and our first time out in June 2010 the flimsy piece of metal broke that "brakes" the gears cuz it was all rusted! We do not store our boat outside in the winter....the trailer was protected and it still rusted. Our cheaper winch lasted us 27 years!!!! Do not buy!
