Apolidgy to I Boats

Earlier i vented my dissatisfaction with help I needed to install this meter not realizing the sales reps are not tech's. A day later a rep emailed me with the Sea Star tech number and they set me straight in just a few minutes. So: Again I sincerely appoligize to the i boat Reps. The meter works as it should.

not a happy camper

purchased the trim meter directions for a yamaha very confusing, ask for assistance from i boats and was told my question did qualify by their guidelines. I only spend a few hundred bucks a year so apparently questions do not qualify. acct closed !!!

What does the trim sensor actually measure? Does it (the transducer measure distance from bottom of trim cylinder travel to top of travel? (Is it indexable? calibratable? ect.? Is it universally usable? ( all outbaord?))?
A:
Manufacturer confirms it reads the drive completely up or down, that is all it is going to measure. Senders cannot be calibrated and such. It works on Mariner/Merc/Cobra/Volvo DP, SX, Yamaha 2001 and on.
