Will this tach work om my Yamaha 2008 90 HP outboard?

Yes it will. You will just need to make sure the size will work for you.

Is this a 2 wire system, ground and positive coil wire? My old gauge just had one wire to the plus side of coil and a ground wire from a mounting post.?
A:
This tachometer has a 4 wire system. It has a spade, ignition, ground and sender terminal.

Does this unit have a back light?

Manufacturer confirms it has a red thru-dial lighting.

Does this include wiring?

This product only includes the gauge and an instruction sheet on how to install it.

Will this work with my 1982 Mercury 3cyl 70hp?
A:
This is a universal gauge, you'll need to measure your mounting hole to see if it's 3" or 4" and see if your original has the 7k limit.

Will this tach work with my 2004 Johnson 115 FI motor?
A:
It's universal in its design. You just hook it up with the tach harness for your engine.
