Sierra 18-7977 Fuel Filter

Bought two of these filters for my Mercruisers. Replaced my fuel filters like I do every year. Port engine stalled out after running for 10 minutes. Wound up pulling out filter to check and the bottom part where the paper goes in to the flange with the o-ring had come apart and glue was restricting the fuel flow. Had to go buy one local. 30 minutes later out in the bay the starboard engine died. Same thing. Over $100 down the drain.
