Scupper Valve, 2-7/8" - Attwood

Needed to replace an Attwood scupper. Tried to replace the Attwood with a SeaDog but it did not fit existing holes. Ordered the Attwood and it was shipped and delivered as promised. Fits perfectly.

I ordered a set of these from Attwood and when I tried to install them the instructions indicate that an additional "retainer" ring is needed for transom mounting. I went onto Attwood's web site and discovered the part number referenced in the instructions is listed as "no match" when entered on the web site. I emailed Attwood for assistance and as of today, 2 weeks later, I still have not gotten a response, they do not post a phone number on their web site either. I had to order another set of scuppers to use the white ring as the retainer ring mentioned in the instructions. It should have been included in the original package.
