SOLAS Prop Hardware
Besides propellers for many popular makes of outboard motors, SOLAS also provides a large section of propeller hardware for proper installation.
Q:
How to install my Solas Amita 4?
A:
Depending on motor you need to have a thrust washer, put on propeller (matching the splines on the prop shaft), then put on remaining hardware (spacer, washer, nut, cotter pin). Again this all depends on motor, but that is the general idea. Then you will need to torque the prop nut according to the specifications listed in your repair manual.
Q:
What is the inside diameter of this nut?
A:
We do not currently have that information available. It is made to fit 25-130 horsepower Yamaha engines with a 3-1/2 inch gear case, 13 tooth spline.
Q:
I am interested in a Solas Amita #1411-133-17 Aluminum Boat Propeller for a Honda BF90 engine. Do I need to buy a spacer? If so, which one?
A:
That prop doesn't include a spacer. You should be able to use your original hardware for installation. If you do not have a spacer currently, you will need one for installation.
Q:
Is this the nut I need for a SOLAS BOAT PROPELLEP 10.1 x 13 PITCH ALUMINUM PROP, MERCURY / MARINER 9.9-25 HP?
A:
Yes. This is the correct nut.
Q:
Solas prop rubber band 73191005 is discontinue? what would be replace it?
A:
We do not have a recommended replacement as it is now obsolete.
Q:
10 spline?
A:
Yes this is a 10 tooth spline and is designed for 25-30 HP Nissan/Tohatsu.
Q:
Will this fit my tahatsu 2010 9.8 HP 4 stroke?
A:
No we don't offer the hardware for your motor. You will need to get OEM from Nissan.
