I wanted current boat owners to know that if your tach goes from 1000 rpm to 1500 rpm on a plane and then back to 0 rpm's , it is not your tach. I was misdiagnosed at a dealership and still had to pay labor...very costly for a mistake they made. You would think that a dealer would know better. Anyway it is your regulator rectifier that needs to replaced. It's ok to pay for something that is being done correctly. This eliminates back trips to the dealer.
