Very comfortable

Comfy chair, a little wide for the bow of a 16' boat, it takes up a lot of space, better suited for my friends 19' bass boat.

Not good with Trolling motor

This is a very well made seat, however, I found it severely hindered my legs when I was operating a trolling motor on a bass boat. The front of it is too wide so it interferes with my legs when I put my foot on the motor control. I think I will use it in the back for my partner.

Yes, you can lean against it. Design is to actually sit on the casting seat, but you can probably lean against it if you need to at all.
