After more than 11 years using competitors TCW3 oils I decided to see if I could find a better product so I went searching. Amongst the many reviews I read I got into some scientific documents comparing lubricity, ash creation, heat tolerance, etc., and decided I'd give Sierra a try. At the time, the website listed 2 - 2 1/2 gallon containers in a case which, for the money made it favorably comparable to everything else available. I ordered the product and put it to the test on a 530 mile boat run, August 2012, from Lake Erie all the way through to Grand Marais on Lake Superior with outstanding results. I have a 1999 Evinrude Ficht 225 outboard and I started with new plugs, a full tank of fresh fuel and fresh tank of Sierra TCW3. When I arrived at my destination, I pulled the plugs checked the engine thoroughly - it was as clean as the day I dewinterized it! I highly recommend Sierra TCW3 to anyone who has an outboard, especially considering the fact that you get 2 - 2 1/2 gal containers per case!
