filter fit fine, gsket fit the surface etc., It is physically shaped different than the Mercury filter that it was replacing, and with fit issues I had with some other parts on the order, I was concerend. Cross referenced with some other websites to assure myself and installed. I have run the boat for an hour, all is well. On a side note, the recomended filter from car quest is yet another differnt size/shape from either this or the Mercury filter.
