OMC Sterndrive/Cobra Solenoids

This will not fit a 60hp Johnson, 2003 motor... way too large to fit in place. The original is a small round solenoid that fits in a rubber sleeve. Chalk it up to a product that is a fit's all...Now it sits in a misc bin in the garage. Was able to get the proper one from another supplier that fits.

I hooked this solenoid up to my 1986 Evenrude XP150 and it worked great for maybe 10 times than it started running the starter continuously. I was told by two different outboard mechanics that I had a bad solenoid. Is there a better more heavy duty solenoid available? Not happy!

Fired up right away but then stuck, will contact Iboats about getting a different brand, bad thing is I did not get time to work on it till I was ready to go boating.

The help getting the right part was excellent. The part arrived on time and it was the correct part. iboats saved me about $24.00 from what a dealer was charging. Installed the solenoid and it worked perfectly.

Hi, I received the starter solenoid, but it does not fit. The overall length is about 1 inch shorter and the inside diameter is about 1/8 - 1/4 smaller. I have purchased many items from IBoats, including boat seats and so far everything else has been good, because the picture is sufficient information. In this instance the picture looked exactly like my part, but there was no dimensions or size of engine available that it fits. Not sure how to get the right part from you. I have a Mercruiser 140 HP engine. Rick G

I ordered the wrong soleniod but your filling the order was fast

After arriving a few days late, solenoid was non functional. I called to try and get a quick exchange, only to be told there was no easy way to do this. Instead of trying to jump through hoops, I returned it for a refund and purchased it elsewhere. It's now a month later I still have not been refunded. I can't see doing business with iboats again, which is a shame because the forums are great.

I ordered this solenoid for my boat and it did not fit. I have a 1987 Chris Craft, 3 liter--140 H.P. The part doesn't fir. Other than that I am satisfied with all the other parts and service dealing with you. Sincerely ERNIE
