Ignition replacement
by Keith from Alexander, Arkansas on October 17, 2017
The switch I purchased work good. The only problem I had installing was the wiring diagrams that came with the switch did not match the switch. However it was not hard to figure out. Thanks for having replacement parts for the older boats.

What I needed
by Jeremy from Duncannon, Pennsylvania on March 29, 2016
Parts came in a timely manner. Schematics were confusing as the diagrams in the instructions were vague but after some te I figured out where I was going wrong and the ignition switch works great. Wish they would color code the prongs though. Would have saved me a half hour.

Good Fit for an Older Pontoon
by Viki from New Richmond, Wisconsin on June 29, 2015
The ignition starter switch fit perfectly. We were worried as the motor and pontoon are pretty old. (1980's) My husband did get a little help from a friend who is an electrician to make sure it was hooked up right. Ran like a charm!

It works like it should
by Joseph from College Station, Texas on August 22, 2014
Not an exact replacement but it works like it should. Terminals are a little different in 2 locations. If you know your wiring and with the help of an ohm meter or continuity tester it is not hard to put together.

Are you sure??
by Brian from Belleville, Illinois on July 27, 2011
If you need a switch to fit into the control box of your omc product, this one will work, barely. You will have to cut off the existing wire ends and install ring type connectors. Also, this one is not the safety lanyard type.Made in China.

SeaDog OMC Push to Start Ign Switch
by Dan from Lakewood, Colorado on July 02, 2011
Overall the switch is a direct replacement for the stock OMC switch. One exception is the contact layout for the wire terminals. Using the instruction sheet and a ohm meter I was able to determine the correct termination. Without a ohm meter and relying on just the instruction sheet would have been hit or miss. Took about 1/2 hour to install. Have used for three days since install on a Walleye boat rough water, rain and have had no problems with starting or choke activation.

Q:
Ineed to know which push to choke starter switch do I need for a 1991 cape horn with an 88 hp evinrude motor 6 wire?
A:
We do not have the original information to match up by boat and motor. Most Evinrudes do not have 6 wires coming off of it. This is 5 screws-1 boss terminal. Panel thickness: 5/8". You will also need to know positions, this has a switch action - Off-ign.-start-choke. If you need more guidance just let us know.

Q:
Will this work for a 2001 nitro 640 lx bass boat?
A:
We do not match this up by boat, but rather you will need to know specs. 6-Boss/Screw terminal base, positions, hole size is 13/16".

Q:
Will this work on 1988 Skipper Craft 60 HP Johnson outboard ?
A:
Yes this will work with the original remote which came with that motor.

Q:
What is the functional difference between the 420381-1 and the 420385-1 switches?
A:
The 420385-1 is four positions, not three. It is also 7 screw terminals and not 6 terminals.

Q:
What is the threaded shaft size? #420382-1?
A:
The threaded shaft size, according to our files, is 13/16".

Q:
Would this switch be compatible with 1997 johnson 200hp oceanpro?
A:
This cross references with 393301 OEM number. You will have to verify that in order to match it up.

Q:
Will this work in a 1975 power cat with a 85 horse 850 that has the thunder ignition ?
A:
These are aftermarket ignition switches. They are selected by style, size, type, position, etc. In order to be certain of fit, you can match the OEM part number to this part or select by the specs of your old ignition switch.

Q:
My switch has male stud terminals, not screw terminals. Does SeaDog have this?
A:
Unfortunately no SeaDog does not have a stud terminals switch.

Q:
Will this work on a 1995 Quantum boat?
A:
This works for Johnson/Evinrude engines so we cannot match it up by boat. Panel thickness: 5/8", 5 screws-1 boss terminal switch. You will need to verify this information.

Q:
Will this work on a 1995 Quantum boat with 120 Mercury Force motor? Sorry I didn't clarify the engine before.?
A:
Hi- This should work to meet your requirements for a starter switch. Although you are crossing engine brands the electrical wiring will need to be correctly connected.
