Will this fit a 2001 Bayliner Capri Classic 1950(CL) with a Mericrusier 3.0L and an alpha one I/O drive? I have very hard or stiff steering at speed and feel as if it is time to replace the steering system. Thanks.?

You can use this on a sterndrive engine. So yes you can use this, but you will need to know the cable length you require. If you had the rack and pinion previously, get the old cable and you can measure just black coating and add 30 inches. Then just round up to nearest foot.
