Minn Kota Riptide SP - 80 lb Thrust, 54" Shaft, i-Pilot, 24V, CoPilot, AutoPilot

This model is extremely difficult for me to stow I though I ordered the new model which has a different catch design. The motor and i-pilot controls work flawlessly only problem is I need help to stow.

I am extremely satisfied with my experience with iBoats. They have been very helpful and responsive. Minn Kota needs to improve their practices. 1. The trolling motor which weighs about 80+ lbs was shipped in a cardboard box which was busted in about 3 places when UPS delivered it. 2. The corosion coupon was broken and there were a few scratches. 3. When you order an iPilot model, Minn Kota nor iBoats inform you that there is disassembly/reassembly required. Basically Minn Kota ships you a Co-Pilot with iPilot electronics which you then have to change out. 4. The mounting instruction and manual in general is pretty elementary with not a lot of detail. They could have made a paper template of the mount with the location of the shaft identified to simplify mounting and judging where to locate the mount while keeping the 1 1/2" clearance for the shaft from the boat. 5. The wiring harness (i.e. main power connection) is grossly undersized. It is only about 6 ft. long and should have been at least 10 ft. with connectors that are not sized for a 12/24 volt common terminal. I haven't even had a chance to test the motor as I've been working for the past 3 weeks to get it properly mounted and wired.

ordered from iboats, recieved 5 days later. Used about 5 trips already, i-Pilot has not disappointed. Its like having a first mate on the boat that does whatever I need exactly when I need it. Cant believe how well the anchor function and co-pilot functions work. Great motor so far.
