How big of boat will this handle?

According to the manufacturer, the MK80EM is designed for boats between 16' to 20'.

Do these motors use motor batt life then the bow mount trolling motors do ?
A:
Minn Kota says it's going to use the same current draw as any 80 lb. thrust trolling motor.
