Good Source of information
by Glen from Camden, Arkansas on July 20, 2017
I read some of this book. It was a gift for a young man that likes to fish in my pond. He was having problems with the sensor in his boat motor that says the motor was overheating. He told me that this has been a big help. He has also thank me many times and I thank you folks.

Limited Information
by Bobby from Morganton, North Carolina on May 26, 2017
Ordered Manual for information on rebuilding lower unit on 90hp Mercury engine. Manual tried to squeeze too many engines in one manual. Lower unit information almost non-existent. Manual states that engine specifications not available due that Mercury did not provide them. No information on disassembly of lower unit, states to go to SELOC ONLINE. I went to Seloc online and they offered information for $39 for 3 years. I applied for RA to return book, totally useless.

Location of secondary flush connection other than with water muffs over intake holes behind prop.
by Paul from Palm Coast, Florida on April 02, 2016
The repair manuel does mention various places for different models of engine, however it didn't help me find the connection for my model. I noticed that there were hose threads around the recess hole where the little pea spout below the cowling squirted water out in a stream when the motor was running in the river or lake. I then bought the owners' manuel and it did have a picture of this connection spot, but they did not indicate it was in the recess for that lil pea hole spout. It's almost as if the Mfg wanted to hide it from the owner. Why didn't they just say it was in the recess hole for the spout? Duh! Common sense would tell the owner that this little pea hole was too small to be a flush point, and also the circulation of the water would be opposite the normal direction of flow. I agonized for many weeks about where this flush point was located. Shame on Mercury for making it so elusive not marking it clearly as a flush point, and saying in so many words "It's in the little spout recess hole so there's no way to misunderstand. There's also another recess hole right under the spout you know, but no way to connect a hose to it it's not round. I hope Mercury will change this confusing wording in future models if in same place.

Good value
by Richard from Los Angeles, California on January 11, 2015
Of course, since this manual covers so many different engines, there is a lot of skipping pages to find the part you need, but the approach is a lot more user friendly than the official Mercury manuals...

Boat manual
by Homer from Sylva, North Carolina on October 31, 2012
When I called to order this manual I asked if it covered how to replace a prop shaft in a 2010 60HP 4 stroke mecury outboard. I was told that it did. After receiving your manual there was absolutely nothing in it about how to replace the prop shaft. It was not even mentioned. Your book was totaly useless to me. I will not be ordering any more of your manuals as they are trying to cover too many engines in one manual with very little detail about anything.
