Pump works OK but had a fuel leak. The connection of the base to pump "melted" with sparation from base. Leak caused silicone around a fitting to melt and while on the lake noted water in bilge. Was able to get back to dock. All was evident when I removed the pump. It definitly is not fuel resistant.

Are all 3 GPH interchangable with each other, that is, are the bases the same size? If I want to go from the 500 to the 750 can I just change the upper part?

Yes, the pump cartridges are interchangable and the bases are the same size.

How do you remove this pump from a boat?
A:
There's a quick release feature on the pump that removes the pump from the base. Then if you're trying to remove the base as well, then you need to unscrew that to remove base. If you have further questions contact us at the number at the top of the page.

Will these upper cartriges fit in the 22501, and 23501 bases?
A:
Johnson Pump has no listings of those part numbers so we cannot refer to those numbers to match up unfortunately.
