This alternator dropped right in to my 4.3L Merc Alpha Gen II. Orignal is 55 amps, but this one is 65 amps. Good, quiet bearings, pre-terminated and stock colored coded wires make this a simple drop-in installation. Highly recommend it so far. It has been running in my boat for two months now without a problem.
