    Excellent Investment
by a Customer from North Liberty, Indiana on April 01, 2016
The KeelGuard is awesome. To begin, it is super easy to install, but that is overshadowed by how effectively it protects the keel. On my fiberglass boat, I now use it to break ice during the early and late season (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=puJTwTmjkBs), park it at boat ramps (concrete, sand, and rocks), and have worked my way through stump fields, and various floating debris. Without the KeelGuard, I surely would have suffered thousands of dollars in fiberglass damage.

    Keelguard
by Kenneth from Gainesville, Florida on July 29, 2015
I just installed the Keelguard on my Bayliner boat. This is a very good product. I know it will protect the boat hull from further s es. Prepping the area under the boat took longer than I had anticipated. To make sure the keelguard went on straight, I had to use another person (an extra set of hands). The tines were a bit tricky, but the instructions were very helpful. Thanks for a great product. Ken

Only had a month or so but very happy...
by Troy from Ogden, Utah on August 05, 2013
I have mine on our Monterey Open Bow 180FS Ski Boat. I've tried throwing an anchor out from the bow, and backing toward the beech and then tying off from the beach to the rear of the boat, but no matter what I did, waves would make the boat drift and 1/2 the time we were on the beach I was trying to get my boat to stay put while my family is having fun and eating lunch. Also getting beach chairs, coolers, sun shades, etc. out from the boat was a pain because you still had to wade out to the rear of the boat. With the Keelguard, you can coast right into a sandy beach at slow speed and while making sure there are no rocks obviously. The boat then rests on the Keelguard, a quick hop off the bow and you are on the beach - no wading, easily unload coolers, beach chairs, blankets, etc. Secure the bow with a good beach anchor and no worries - boat stays put. Makes lunch snack time much more relaxing and makes watersports easier and less hassle as you are not tripping over extras stuff on the boat when hanging wakeboards, pulling tubes, etc.

    Q:
Is this product supposed to run the length of the boat or just s few feet after the water line?
    A:
This item is not meant to run the length of the boat. Just goes down the keel and a little bit below water line.
