I have a 1995 Gambler 209TE. After installing a 225 Pro XS I discovered it has a non-ratching lower unit. This caused handling issues in turns and coming down off of WOT. The old hot foot just had too quick of a ratio making very small throttle changes difficult at best. Tight high speed turns were difficult to execute smoothly. This had not been the case with the old 200 Xri. After installing the HF-1T it was like night n' day difference. Much smoother throttle operation. NOTE: The literature states you may need a longer throttle cable with this hot foot. I had quite a bit of slack in my existing cable and did not need to get a new/longer one. But if you don't have a lot of slack in your existing cable you can probably plan on getting a new/longer cable prior to completing the install of this hot foot!
