Heavy Duty Clamp-On Oar Lock Sockets Straight 1/2" Pair SeaDog Line

Design of the item raises the oar about an inch above the gunwales for easier rowing. Just tightening the top bolt holds the oar securely. There is a little to much space between the u shape on the bottom bolt and the other part. Makes for a little noise when rowing.I have picked up, and plan to install, a couple of nylon washers on either side of the bottom bolts to reduce play and the reduce the noise. The pins, themselves, fit the oar lock nicely, just a very minimum of play. I had purchased other ones (black painted) elsewhere and they were to tight in the sockets and placed the oar to low to the gunwales..

I RECEIVED THE HEAVY DUTY OAR LOCKS TODAY. THEY ARE MUCH BETTER QUALITY THAN I HAD EXPECTED THEM TO BE. USELY WHEN YOU BUY SOMETHING FROM A PICTURE, IT ENDS UP NOT BEING THE SAME. THIS TIME BETTER THAN THE PICTURE. THANK YOU TERRY MILLER (OHIO)
