Galvanized Side Plate Type Oar Lock Sockets Angle 1/2" Pair SeaDog Line

I purchased four sets. I opened just one pair as even through the clear packing they appeared of poor quality. Rather than a nice smooth round oar socket as pictured, the lock was co ly galvanized everywhere including inside the pin receiver. The receiving socket was not round, incredibly rough and the amount friction it created even kept the oar from moving with it's leverage. The receiver is too small of a diameter to use inserts and sanding/boring the interior helped but really didn't make it viable to use. Lesson learned: you get what you pay for.

Was not sure these would fit my 1960s wooden oars or my fancy set eitherway these sockets work on many apllications . I have square stern canoes flat bottoms and row boat aluminum fiberglass etc . I also did a recent search on Iboats they have specific parts for what your looking for . NO NEED TO SHOP ANYWHERE ELSE Kris w kodak tn 37764

Easy to install. Through-bolt to side if possible, installers choice. A good buy.
