Engine Temperature Sending Unit, 3/8" - Sierra

After ruling out that my gauge was bad I decided to take a chance that my sender wasnt reading accurately. My old one read about 30 degrees higher than my infrared thermometer said the temp at the sender was. Once I installed this, temps went back down to where the infrared thermo said they were and all is well. Piece of mind.

My temperature sender went bad. Went to an auto parts store, got sent back with "this might work". The sender they gave me showed the engine was at perfect running temperature before I even started it and then maxed out in the first 5 minutes of running. Found the correct part number online and the replacement part, no issues yet.

I am a little disappointed and I did not even get my order yet. When I put in my order I told the tech I need it by Friday, and she said with ground shipping it would be at my house sometime Friday , that was great ! Now after tracking my order I find it will not be at my house until Monday sometime.. This has killed my plans to use my boat for the weekend. Had she not told me or was not sure I would have ordered next day air….because my children are only here this weekend and wanted to use the boat…now my plans are ruined and I feel like going to west marine to buy these parts I ordered so I can use my boat this weekend. I really don't care if they will cost me more by getting them someplace else. Bill Lentino
