Q:
I have a 1988 wellcraft classic with 350 mercruiser will this control work with my engine?
A:
Yes this is universal in its design. It will accept OEM cables.

Q:
I have a 1990 invader, will this control box work on my boat?
A:
This is universal in its design, but it does accept OEM control cables and 33C cables. So you should be able to make it work to your application.

Q:
I am assuming there should be no problem wit 1996 wellcraft excel with 3.0 volvo?
A:
No this is universal in its design. For starboard gunwale mount control. CH1700 controls are suitable for use with both universal type (3300) or OEM type control cables without the need for adaption.

Q:
Stupid question from a new boat owner. My current control has no tilt but does have a trim switch. It will allow me to trim the outdrive all the way up for towing. I assume the CH1751P will work the same way?
A:
If you have only trim switch then you need the CH1751P. This is a trim switch only. Tilt and trim is for when two separate switches are needed for sterndrive engines.

Q:
1992 Bayliner Capri will this control work in my application?
A:
Yes it will work as it works with both universal control cables and OEM type cables.

Q:
I have 1987 Regal Sebring with the 205/V6. I have a trim button along with a seperate trailer button. Will this work with existing cables and work for my application?
A:
Yes this most definitely can be used to replace your control with a trim and separate trailer button. This control has two buttons, one for Trim the other for Tilt. The tilt button is what is used for the trailer button. The SeaStar installation manual makes this very clear on page 3. TRAILER (TILT) SWITCH. "Used to raise the engine for trailering the boat. This switch normally is used on I/O applications". Page 9 explains how to wire the switch for Trailer(Tilt) function. The manual can be viewed and downloaded from the SeaStar website.
A:
This does not have a switch for the trailer, you would have to have some kind of pigtail wiring to match both. However, this is universal in its design and works on any boat. It works with both universal cables and OEM style cables.
