Sierra 18-3575 Circulating Water Pump (Bi-Directional)

Installed this pump on my Mercruser 165HP engine, works perfect.

4th bolt (bottom left) had barely enough clearance for the socket to fit the bolt. Had to use an open end on a wierd angle to get enough torque. Also even though it fit accurately to the holes and gasket that was included, had to clean up some oversprayed paint on the brass surface prior to gasket sealer application. Haven't done a full load test in water yet, but the dockside run had to running smooth with no clearance problems with the other original parts (pulleys, belts, hoses etc).

Installed with new seals 3 times (big waste of $ and time). Each time it leaked at the third bolt. Also, pulley rubs on iron casing. Wasted 3 weeks out of water with bad part. I would buy the gm part...return approved for refund thanks to iboats

The online description was adequate to select the proper/correct water pump. My order was very promptly shipped with good packaging. I ordered it on a Tuesday morning and received the next day, Wednesday. The pump appeared to be a new pump and not a rebuilt. It is exactly what I needed. I have gotten items from iboats several times and have been very satisfied each time.

Delivery was fast and on time, pump seemed to be good quality with brass impeller, perfect fit.

I had a problem with the water pump I orderd and I-boats replaced it with very fast service.

Had to shim out the 3 gang pulley (power steer., impeller, water pump) to clear the new circ. water pump. Also had to remove the impeller pump bracket to allow clearance for the hose running from the thermostat housing to new circulating pump housing. Tripled time needed for simple replacement of circulating pump.
