I have a boat with a 48" seat. There is extra room on the sides for a longer seat. Will the mounts line up if I buy a longer seat? Are they in the same place on both seats?
A:
Generally no as the piano hinge to mount to your OEM seats will be slightly different than piano hinges provided with these seats.
Q:
What are the dimensons of the 42 inch seat the seat depth is con fusing. can you send a front and side view with dimensons?
A:
We do not have any other photos to send, but the depth is 23.5 inches and that is front to back. The seat depth is 17 inches and that is just the portion of where you are sitting. If you have further questions just contact us at the number at the top of the page.

What are the dimensions of the hindges provided with the 58 inch seat?

It comes with (2) 11" piano hinges.

Is the bottom of the seat flat all the way across? I need to mount it on top of a double seat bracket but offset a few inches.?

Yes it is.

Do these have to sit on a box or can they mount to a vertical wall?
A:
They can sit essentially flush if you need them to. Don't necessarily need to sit on a box per se, but you should mount to a flatter surface.

Wise confirms it is wood.

I need a bench seat 45" wide , don't see any here do you have them in 45" wide?

Closest we have listed is 43" or 48".

Is there a chart that shows what boat the chairs fit on? It is it universal?

There is no chart. You need to measure the area you want to put the seat. The seat is an aftermarket seat and fits many different boats.

They attach with 2 piano hinges and 16 stainless steel sheet metal screws.

You can use a piano hinge. You can also mount it to a double wide seat stand such as WD1280.
