Battery Box Strap 56" Long Strap Only - Attwood

There not much to say as it is a basic strap. I use them to secure the lids on a couple of battery boxes holding two golf cart batteries for an RV. These 6 volt batteries are higher than standard deep cycle 12 volt batteries, so the longer 56 inch length makes things easier than using the standard size strap. The latch does a good job of gripping the material but it is important to make sure it is pulled tight. I did have a lid blow off once (but I found it on the return trip!) I have never had the plastic latch break. The big negative is they do rot from the sun. Figure on getting no more than two years out of the strap if it is in the sun. I did try a another brand once but it was not as wide so it was not as secure and it sun rotted even faster than these. iBoat did a great job in getting them to me right away.
