I was having a hard time steering my 2006 Bayliner 185. After doing some research I found out that the grease in the steering cable wend bad after it was frozen last winter and they say that you might have to replace this cable about every 6 or so years. It was easy to remove the old cable. 6 bolts and a cotter pin and breaking it loose from the engine mount using 2 adjustable wrenches. New one installed just as easy and now it works like the day I purchased the boat. I recommend this to everyone. Just make sure you get the right one for your boat!
