I ordered the polished aluminum brackets made by (Garelick),to find they had scratches almost like gouges on the surface parts that would be visible to the eye, after they would be mounted.I'm building a seat console for my restored boat. I sent 4 photos of the scratches. The engineer there told me that, that's they way there made,it's in the material.I say(Bull!),Only an idiot would believe that. So I ordered the anodized ones, thinking maybe there not scratch up (Wrong!) I looked all over for brackets like these made by different manufactures and could not find any.So I had no choice but to use them.At least these had light scratches and nicks barely noticeable from a distance. There nice brackets if it wasn't for the scratches. Also, the back mounting holes were too small(3/16"),so I drilled out to (1/4")for a more stocky bolt.
