Airhead Slice 60" 2-Person Boat Deck Tube

This is the best tube that I've had. It has lasted 2 seasons and I haven't noticed any signs of wear. I am careful not to let the rope go slack, if you are not I don't think the stitching will hold up. I can get 3 barrel rolls in a corner and by bouncing on it in smooth water I can get it 6-12" out of the water (I'm 135 lbs). If I can find another one of these on clearance for sixty I will buy a second. Pros: -Fun at a great price -Straps at the back and middle to assist with boarding -Comfortable handles -Quick rope connection -Sporty ride -Light weight -Neoprene knee and knuckle pads Cons: -Submarines if you don't have the rider WAY back on the tube when starting out -I doubt it will handle a boat driver jerking the rope

We bought this tube last Sunday. We were pleasently surprised when it showed up at our home a day early. Our previous towable, a Nautica NS100, was much higher off the water. This one is about half as thick and is tapered at the back end to about 6". The tow hook is position low on the front so it makes it prone to "submarining" if your rider is too far forward on the tube and if you're timid with the throttle. Having ridden it myself, 32 year old in excellent physical condition, I will tell you that the ride is rough over light chop @ 20MPH. If you are not careful YOU WILL bite your tongue off! My buddy did get it to flip like in the video though, so that's a plus. Quality is good, construction as well. We left it aired up in the boat overnight and it drop a bit of air. Good for two kids but not for two adults. Besides, the weight limit is only 340lbs. I wouldn't try to test that. That's the main reason why our Nautica one is no longer with us...
