This works just "okay". Not impressed with the strength. It will not stand alone while you tighten the cover down. If you start tightening the cover with the bow slanted back a bit, it will pull into place as you go.(assuming you start at the stern) Also, the bow will not return to straight when you take it off, it halds its bow shape. I think the plastic one would be better in that regard. For the price, though, it does do what I bought it for....keep rain from puddling on my cover.

I bought 2 of these and installed 1 in the front of the boat, and it worked well. The 2nd was in the aft part of the boat, which is wider, but it snapped, when I installed it .
