UNABLE TO PERFORM

SORRY! BUT THIS WINCH WAS UNABLE TO PULL UP A 1300 LB PONTOON ONTO IT'S TRAILER, IT CAME UP TWO THIRDS OF THE WAY AND COULD GO NO MORE. WE HAD TO PULL OUT OF THE LAKE LIKE THAT AND USE A BACKHOE TO PUSH THE PONTOON THE REST OF THE WAY ONTO THE TRAILER.

won't work as rated

purchased the 315 because it is rated by Powerwinch to pull 4000 lbs-my boat is an 18 foot Sea Pro which weights in at around 2500lbs with motor and gas--it will not pull the boat onto my trailer which is a Loadrite all roller trailer. Contacted iboats and powerwinch but it looks like I'm stuck with this winch as neither one will let me return it for credit or exchange.

I have a 16' Smokercraft with a 50hp Merc and this winch loads it with little effort. It helps to use silicone spray on the trailer bunks. A very good winch for the money.
