The post is the exact one I needed for my boat. The only problem with the post I received it does not have a keyhole int the top of the post for the seat bracket to lock into to.

The part ordered was exactly what it said. I made the mistake in that the post size was wrong for my seat. We are actually in the process of returning them, they are just too long. It is difficult to find the length that works for us that fits in this type of base. It seems there are so many more options with the pin base.
