2-Wire ConnectPro™ Charging/Trolling System Trolling Motor Plug & Receptacle - Marinco

I installed this connector system on my boat for the trolling motor hookup. I used 10 guage wire for the trolling motor (which is 55 lbs thrust). I suggest applying dielectric grease to the wire sockets before inserting and tightening the wires as this will prevent corrosion (but will NOT inhibit current flow) for years of reliable services. Put the same silicon grease on the plug and receptacle contacts. This appears to be a quality product and I am very satisfied wih this purchase.

I almost skimped on this and bought the cheapo version from Walmart, but I decided not to because the cheapo didn't really have a way to seal the plug from the elements. I saw myself having to replace the cheapo with this item in a few months anyway. So, I spent twice the money, but I'll only have to buy ONCE. This is a very well made product. The socket can be sealed with a pliable rubber cover, so any saltwater splashes won't ruin it. Highly recommend it.
