The locking hole on my pedestal tube is on the side while the locking mechanism on the new seat slide is on the front. No deal breaker since I can crank down on the handle that controls seat rotation and lock it in place. I'm just glad I found a slide that fits and slides smoothly. My wife is happy to be able to slide the seat forward again when she "takes over the helm". Very pleased with the purchase.
