Pay special attention that the black wire coming out of the fuel gauge sending unit needs to be grounded! Small flange provided on the tank that gets grounded with a separate wire isn't connected at all to the installed sending unit as you'd expect. Can't just connect the 2 wires from the sending unit to the gauge. Took me a long time and a lot of frustration to get my fuel gauge to work. I had to figure out that this tank (which was replacing an exact older model) is wired differently because of the new style sending unit. Also, they changed the size of the fittings from NPT 3/8 to NPT 1/4. Causing last minute scrambling to get new hoses installed. Absolutely no directions or instructions shipped with the tank! I hope their ears burned off!
